Monday...vacation's over... :(

Time to go back to reality....Honey went back to work this morning. He sure is missed already!!! We had a wonderful week with him home....and are already counting down the days till he can be off again. After August, he will be there two years and be able to take two weeks vacation. We are planning for him to take one week in October-ish and another next April-ish. A week off every six months will be nice.

So much was accomplished on this vacation! Toby built five shelves here in the office for me! They are great!!! I even have the door open in here! That's a FIRST!! He and Thomas fixed the Kee mower and mowed the yard, the driveway and more. Toby loves to mow...it was almost therapy for him. Toby also loaded up the trailer with "stuff" to go to the dump...and we took it to the dump on Saturday. He even got one half of the shed cleaned out and organized! Plus...and maybe most importantly, time to just be...to be together...to be relaxed...to be silly...to be funny....to be.... I heard singing and humming. Laughing and joking. Big, beautiful, natural smiles. Love those!!!!

A very fruitful vacation.

Today, we have much to do! We have two families coming to a cookout this afternoon. I need to make hamburger, hot dog and Italian sausage rolls, deviled eggs, cole slaw, BBQ pork...and I'm sure something else! We are having s'mores..so I will divy all that up so it's easier to just hand a packet rather than as usual having a bag of graham crackers, bag of marshmallows and chocolate bar on my lap!

I must run now and get those buns started before it gets way too hot to do so! The heat of summer has not arrived...but it's not far off. Bleh....I hate the heat of summer! But, I guess it's important...for some reason I haven't figured out yet...and it sure makes me appreciate fall all the more!
