Tuesday...is it really Tuesday?

My beloved is on vacation...and I can't believe that it's already Tuesday. Just 5 more days of this bliss. I wish vacation could last forever. Such a dream to have a work at home husband. It's been our dream since we married, 16-1/2 years ago. For a time, he did work for himself..and that was wonderful too.
When we first moved here to Tennessee, he didn't work for the first 7 months. That was incredible!!! 

I keep asking him if he's sure he doesn't have a rich uncle somewhere just waiting to pass on his millions to my Honey. Honey assures me he doesn't. Bummer. Cause that would be the ultimate!!!

Tomorrow, we have no plans to go anywhere!! Sunday, we went to church (which we LOVE!), then a ride on the way home. A short ride as gas is now $3.09 a gallon here.   Monday, we took Gracie to the stockyard for auction. It was tough leaving her there...she was so gentle. The auction man told Toby he should take that heifer home and put a collar on her! He told the man that's why she's here...she's usually waiting outside the kitchen window or at the back door each morning....she'd get out most days. She did well for awhile..but was up to her old tricks shortly. We did some other errands while we were in town that day. Thomas bought a used weight bench and weights. He's very happy...for $20! Also a stop for some groceries. Rebecca also got a pair of shoes she's been eyeing for some time. Daddy was there to give his approval, so she got them.

Today, we went to town to get lawnmower parts and pick up our check from the stockyard. Not as much as we had hoped to get..but since Gracie was given to us...it's all profit aside from the milk replacer we bought for her in the beginning. She weighed 355 pounds!

We also bought some strawberries from a vendor in town. Another vendor had tomatoes and watermelons..but we didn't stop. Now, I'm wishing we would have...a BLT sure sounds good right now!

For supper tonight, we had BBQ pork ribs and sliced ham. Oh! Was that ever tasty!!!! Love having a freezer full of pork to choose from! Now, if we could have that Cheeseburger out there in the freezer, life would be great!

Shortly after we got home, my master mechanic husband  and talented son  had that lawn mower running. Now, this was no small feat! This mower is a Kee mower...it was given to Toby as junk in 1982. He bought a new engine for it the year I graduated high school (1987...yep, 20 years ago! ). This mower has not been run since our move...so it's sat for 3 years. They did some work on it...and it ran like a top! Thomas mowed the front yard...which hadn't seen a mower last year or this year yet! It looks so nice! Tomorrow, he will mow the side yard and we will commence with the great pool set up. It's still a bit cool at night...but my children cannot wait to swim!

Saturday, Rebecca is going to her friend's home to go to the movies and spend the night with her. Toby and Thomas will be going to the movies that day as well. Guess what they are seeing? Yep, Pirates of the Carribean 3. I will wait for it to come out on DVD..I can't understand those movies and need to have it replayed a few times to get it! Rebecca's friend will bring her home Sunday morning before church.

Sunday is our Waffle House day! My Honey loves Waffle House! That was one thing he wanted to do on his vacation...so we will do it as our last hurrah on Sunday after church. We will be stopping at our friend's home on the way home...it's their big graduation party day!

Then...the dreaded Monday will come...and we will have to give our precious Honey and Daddy back to Home Depot for 8 hours. Ick. Not looking forward to that day!!!

On another note, Rebecca stayed after piano today and worked for her teacher. The same one having the graduation party...she hired Rebecca to help her clean. Rebecca made some money!  And helped out a friend too. Can't get much better than that!

I need to go get children in bed. We just finished banana splits. It was homemade chocolate and vanilla ice creams, homemade chocolate syrup, and all the rest. So cool to make so much of our own food!
