Update...

I called my Dad just a bit ago. He sounds good..and is as optimistic as ever.. wonder where I get my optimism from?! 

He told me has been bleeding for the last 7 or 8 days. The blood is black. They feel it could be coming from the stomach due to the color. They did scope down into his stomach today, but did not find anything. Tomorrow they will do the colonoscopy. Dad feels that perhaps one of the 16 polyps he had removed when they did his last colonoscopy this past summer when he was here did not heal correctly???
If that doesn't find the problem, they will then do the camera pill thingie...it goes into the small intestine.

I also called my brother in WA. He told me he's a quick flight to Reno and will leave the moment he feels he's needed...
