Abundant Blessings Homestead

It's raining....

And I'm not complaining! We need the rain...just not the wind and the flooding rain. It was so dry last year, hay was in short supply. It would be so nice to be like our first year here...the rains came and the grass was abundant.

Tonight is our International Dinner. We are really looking forward to it. It's always such a fun evening. Our board is almost finished. Just a bit more to add. We mixed up the French Toast last night. It's soaking and will be baked to be ready to pull from the oven right before we leave. The Quiche Lorraine will be done the same way. The French bread will have to be baked first...it's done at a higher temp. And hte chocolate mousse needs to be made this morning so it can sit in the frig for awhile.

We'll be dining on Mexican, English, Greek, Italian, Chinese, Greek and French foods this evening!  

Our neighbors across the road bought the place next door to them this week. They hired a bull dozer to come clean the woods around the trailer out. Oh my, does it ever look different down there!! They told us that they had heard the place next door to us might go into foreclosure soon. Would be so wonderful to be able to buy that for ourselves! (I wouldn't normally be happy about a foreclosure...but this "family" is not a good one...drugs, arrests, etc. It would be nice to know they wouldn't ever be coming back!)

It's time to begin the activities of the day...so I must go....
