Musings on Wednesday evening

The rest of my family is watching a movie, Anna and the King. It didn't really interest me, so I thought I would catch up on my computer time.

Just found a neat site.... Safety checker ... this is a website that will allow you to research for interaction between different medications and vitamins or supplements. I am taking cayenne pepper and chromium picolonate currently to help my metabolism burn some fat.  I wanted to check if my Honey could take it as well...he does take blood pressure medicine. Looks like there will be no interaction. And, turns out the chromium is helpful for lowering cholesterol as well! He has, in the past, been on Lipitor to reduce cholesterol. He stopped taking it when he researched the side effects of that drug. This would be a natural way to keep it in check. Not sure we believe all the myths surrounding cholesterol issues...but, if this is a natural method to reduce it some, all the better!

I need to do some work on my menus. We did great for awhile with them. That was before the holiday season began. I haven't gotten back on track with them since. It's time!

I am also getting re-energized to keep a household binder. I now receive Making It Home magazine.  It was recommended by my friend, Crystal, who is awesome and writes for the magazine. I received my first issue, and the cover story was all about keeping a household notebook. So, it's time to begin that again as well!
Things just run smoother when there is a plan. Following the plan is easier. Life is easier!

I am also finding so many interesting blogs! I need extra computer time each day to keep up with all the reading that I want to do. It is incredible to me to find so many liked minded ladies, with the same goals and visions that I have.

It's now 8 pm...and time to hit the bed. 3:30 comes so early. And by mid-week, I am usually quite ready for bed when it comes time to head there! I also need to catch up a bit on my Bible reading. I am following a plan to read through the Bible in a year. I have never read it cover to cover, so this is quite interesting for me!

I love the movie "Anna and the King" although it is a little violent, I just close my eyes at those brief parts! :)
