Baby update

We are all so incredibly excited about our new babe. New baby is 8 weeks old now. It's amazing all that new baby has done in those few weeks! As of this week, the heart is fully beating (has been for at least 2 weeks), eyes, ears, nose are all formed. The arms, hands, legs and feet are all there. Internal organs are being formed. The brain has been functioning for awhile now.

All that in 8 short weeks. The babe will be fully formed by 12 weeks...then it's just a matter of growing bigger. What an awesome design God created. This little life growing inside...makes me feel all important!

We have met with the midwife and have chosen her. Stacie is also a certified herbalist and massage therapist. How cool is that? She's very much into natural methods for everything. And completely shares our belief that birth is quite safe and natural out of a hospital. That I am not sick..I am pregnant. Sick people go to hospitals. We both feel very peaceful about our homebirth decision. It's not our first time...this will be our third. But, each birth is different and we ask God where He wants us to deliver our babes each time.

The children all are dreaming of twins...a boy and a girl.

We just want a healthy baby.

Went to the park today for our laps. Rebecca is my self appointed coach! She pushes me to walk further. Toby found a diet online from the Weston A Price foundation for pregnant women. I have followed it as best I can. I am not eating organ meat. But, I have tried to add more eggs and milk to my diet. Thankfully, we are blessed to have chickens and a milk cow. So, I am able to have the recommended raw dairy products and pastured eggs. The beef we eat is also grass fed. Not all perfect foods...but we do as much as we can. We are thankful that the Lord has blessed us with the animals we do have. And quite thankful to my folks who purchased our milk cow for us. Without them, we'd be years away from where we are now, farm-wise. They have been very generous to us! Looking forward to them being here for their new grandchild's entrance to this big world!!

Also, my midwife recommended I drink more water...at least a gallon, gallon and a half would be better. I have increased my water intake to nearly that gallon and a half. Makes for many trips to the potty...but if she thinks it's best, so be it. I try to have it all consumed by supper time...to avoid too many nighttime trips.... In the evening, we have a new treat. Toby has green tea and I have red raspberry leaf tea. Tastes so yummy...and so good for me!!

Speaking of that tea...it's ready and I am ready to go sit and relax. That's our other thing...we spend time in the evening just sitting and talking. Love that time! We also watch This Old House...missed so many years of that when we didn't have tv reception, so these shows are new to us. We enjoy that show very much. It's nearly time for it to start...need to get my jammies on and settle in for the evening.

Sounds as if things are going along well. Thank y ou for posting such lovely comments about God's design. Today my youngest is 3, and I am in awe of how He works; even after so man ykids and so many years. It's still awesome! Nice to hear someone share that thought.
