Back to normal?

We are slowly returning to our pre-holiday schedule. It is taking longer than usual..probably because this Mama enjoyed herself so much! I purposely took time to just enjoy the holidays and our company. It was refreshing and wonderful...but now I find it difficult to get back to a normal routine.

We have begun our schooling again. Going well so far...even with the 2-1/2 weeks off that we enjoyed!

It is raining right now...and it sure sounds like it's really coming down! We need the rain...it was so very dry this past summer...so I won't complain. But the temperatures this winter are strange...and not very winter like. It got cold around Thanksgiving...but has since warmed up and remained that way. Even now, January 4th, at 5 pm, it's 56*! That's just not right! It's nice for the propane and electric bills...but if we have spring already, it makes it hard to appreciate true spring and even summer when they arrive.

Tomorrow is our 16th wedding anniversary. Our children are cooking us supper. They have the meal all planned...and I plan to do some relaxing while they prepare!

I'm off now to go watch tv with my babes. Daddy took Rebecca to the library...she was so happy when he told her to get ready!

I can relate...it is 55 degrees here, and it didn't really feel like Christmas!! Happy Anniversary! You must have very sweet Children!!

It's nearly 8 PM in Western NY and the temp is 54 degrees. It should be in the 20's. The weather has been like this for weeks. As for rain, you can keep it. It has rained so much since mid August I am thinking an ark might be appropriate.
Hope you and Toby have a great anniversary. So sweet of the children to make supper.
