Animals are all settling in quite nicely...

All of our recent additions to our farm are settling in quite nicely. Gentle is used to our milking style and is still so friendly and patient. The piggies seem to be happy here...they are so sweet looking, all cuddled up together in the hay sleeping.

A friend came to visit yesterday. She said she felt like she was on a real farm. What a compliment! A real farm...we have arrived!

The weather has turned more winter like. Milking was fun this morning...actually not bad while milking, it was the walking back and forth. It was 24* out this morning. It's only 38 now at 2:30 pm. There is actually snow in our forecast tonight! Not that I am truly expecting the beautiful white stuff....but we would sure love to see some!!

The coming week won't be too busy...thankfully! But, next week will surely be! I do wish some activities could be scheduled for other times...other than the 3rd week of every month! But then, I don't do the scheduling...so that week is always a busy one for our family.

We had homemade ice cream last night. It was soo yummy!!! Natalie and Mary now ask for cow milk...when we tell them that we have always drank cow milk, they tell us that this is REAL cow milk, the other is yucky stuff! Yeah!! My children are completely sold on farm fresh products. If only the rest of the world would educate their children on the value of quality products directly from the farm, small farmers could actually think of making their living on the farm...

Off my soapbox...and onto baking bread....time to put the French bread in the oven... Lasagna, salad and French bread for supper. Sounds yummy!!!
