Sunday afternoon

Good afternoon!

It's been a long weekend...a good one, but productive!
We pulled out all kinds of boxes for a yard sale for Saturday. Up at 5:30, ready for those early birds...that never came! We began our sale at 7...and didn't have our first customer till 8. Oh well...not much of a money maker. But, we now have the Burb loaded with boxes and bags to donate. It will be nice to get rid of that stuff...would have been nice to have made a few bucks...but....

I do have a bunch of homeschool books that I am not donating...I will be selling those online...as well as some larger toys.

Talked to my Mom today. They are leaving NY this Wednesday..heading back this way over the next month. Will be so nice to have them here again!

We have been blessed by such wonderful friends! A crafty friend of ours delivered two chairs that he and his son made! They are our first lawn furniture! How generous of them to make them just for us!

I believe Martha and Ken are going to be here next week! Will be nice also to see them again on their way back to sunny Florida. Ken will be finishing up the drywall work from our remodel, but it will just be nice to have them here, the work is an extra blessing.

My Honey had his job review...we don't know what kind of a raise he will be getting..till his next check comes in this Friday. Sure praying it's a nice one! He works so hard..and picks up so much of the slack. Would be wonderful for him to be rewarded well for his hard work and dedication.

The temperature here is quite pleasant! 85* today..and looks like the same for the rest of the week. I'm looking forward to some cooler weather...but it will be nice for Ken to have warmer weather while he's here. It's been getting rather cold where they are now!

Guess I will close now and get supper started. Getting to bed on time is getting to be a real priority...too many late nights lately...sure add up to sleepy folks! We worked on our chore list today. I need to map out our daily schedule...we all function better with a schedule, myself included.

I so enjoy reading about your days on your homestead :) How nice that all your family is coming to visit you all. I am sure your kids will love that.
Can't wait to see what you put on ebay for sale.

OOOOOO - I wish I lived closer to you - I love yard sales - I'm the one waiting by the curb for the people to open up in the morning!! ......and also Thomas could do my yard!!!
So glad to hear your Mom and Dad and on their way - and Ken & Martha - I know you love visitors - which says a lot about you!!! For most people that is a chore...
