Wednesday morning

Today is a big day! We begin our new school year!!!!

This year, Rebecca is in 8th grade, Thomas is in 6th grade, Natalie is in 2nd grade and Mary will be doing preschool. A different school year for us as this is the first year we will be doing different things for all. We have used the Prairie Primer as the base of our curriculum for the past three years. Made it easy to have everyone "on the same page" so to speak. This year, Rebecca is doing much more on her own. Thomas will begin on his own subjects.
We are also adding in foreign language! I had four years of  French in high school, so am sticking with something I can at least partially recall... French. I have a program that a friend of mine gave me a few years ago. It was one of those public school book giveaways. It's the complete program, with 3 years worth of instruction. I had planned to get Facile Francais....but, when I found this, the frugal part of me said we had to at least give it a try.

Mystery of History is our history program this year. We will be doing this together.

Time to rouse the children so we can get started on our first day!!!
