Monday morning on the homestead

It is a cool morning here today. We have had much, much rain. The creek was flowing pretty rapidly this morning when my Honey left for work. He blazed on through and did great...though he did have to move the barbed wire first. The fence running across the creek broke during the night. Thankfully, the cows are not in that pasture now, so no worry about them getting out!

I have a turkey in the oven already...and laundry started. My, this family can generate some laundry!

Other than the usual housework on Monday, we have school work to do today. We are studying the presidents in the Primer now. Love this time period of history!!

I got a call from a friend who buys milk from the Amish on Friday. The lady she buys milk from offered to sell her cow to her! She isn't able to have a milk cow, so she called to see if I was interested! Uh--yeah!!!! I called back to see if we could go look at her on Saturday, but they were busy. I have to wait until my friend can take me as I don't know this Amish woman. Sure praying that, if this is the milk cow for our family, all works out and she comes to live with us soon!!! How exciting, eh?!

Must get on with the day...have a bit of Bible reading to do and then it's shower time. Before I know it, it will be 7 am and time to wake kiddos!

Sounds like your getting alot accomplished today Laurie! I need to get that motivated! Hope you get that milk cow!
