Thursday ramblings...

Since I finally have photos of our remodel on my blog...I decided this morning was a good time to start painting over the chalkboard in the kitchen! Shortly after we moved in, I painted magnetic receptive paint and chalkboard paint on two walls in the kitchen. Now, I am painting primer over most of it. I'd like to leave some and have Toby frame it out to look more finished as a chalkboard. We do use it in our schooling, but now the refrigerator is covering most of it. I believe we have decided on a pale yellow for the kitchen walls.

Once we are finished with the kitchen, I plan to move to the utility room to paint it a pale blue. I'm thinking....sky...since it's also the laundry room...and I plan to make soap in this room...I'd like something breezy, light and welcoming. Blue is my favorite color...so I think blue it is!

It's only 7:30 and I already have two loads of laundry done, last ones are in the washer and dryer. First coat of primer is on the kitchen wall. And I am completely up to date in the Quicken register! I am toying with the idea of going to the creek. It's supposed to hit 100* today..and with the heat index, who knows...I heard on the tv, we could have a heat index of 110*. ICKY!!! Too hot!! I am not a fan of this heat at all! I am ready for fall NOW....I would so much rather be cold than hot. I can layer more clothes or blankets...can't do much to cool down!

We did get some rain last night. It was so wonderful...sure cooled things off quickly! But, it didn't last long...

We also need chicken feed...the feed store lady has ordered Gentle feed for me too. Hopefully, she has received it. Will give her a call once she opens and find out. If so, we will run to get that and then to the creek. Sounds like a great way to spend a morning!

The new calves are settling in nicely. They look so sweet running around out there together!

Guess I will close this entry now and go put that second coat of primer on...then wake the young'uns so they can get their chores started...

Wow your really on a role this morning.

It's hot here this morning,it wasn't to bad early on until the sun made it over the hill and started heating up our place. Now it's getting hotter! : (
