It's Saturday night!!

Whew! What a day!

We left around 9:30 to go pick up Bacon...or, Bacon in his current form of meat!

We also went to a junk shop. Two buildings worth. Some really neat stuff...but WAY too pricey! Then it was off to a Mexican restaurant for lunch. It was okay...we should have gone to the BBQ place we saw...oh well, it was a nice lunch! We then went to Checker's, as that is Rebecca's favorite fast food place. We don't have one in our town...so Daddy wanted to treat her to Checker's fries and a banana milkshake, her two favorites. We got two milkshakes and a large fries...the children shared. Since we had just eaten, it was just enough! Should be....cost $7.05 for that! Then I ran into Kroger. That's the only place I can find the ingredients to make laundry detergent.
We then took the long way home..and had a lovely drive. The a/c in the Burb worked...somewhat...it wasn't cold by any means, but it was sure better than the heat (it was 100* today!) and the wind blowing around.

Once we got home, we emptied out the old freezer...getting rid of some icky stuff that was freezer burnt. The old freezer was an upright that had a leaky gasket at the top. I have searched in vain for a new gasket...but none to be had. We...well, my darling Honey, hoisted that heavy freezer out of the utility room and outside. Then, we added up the weights of the pig meat....it was all marked and vacuum sealed. Love that! We ended up with 135 pounds of bacon, ribs, hams, shoulders, jowls, and pork chops! I have bacon thawing in the frig for breakfast tomorrow.

I had a surge of energy! Rebecca and I emptied the cabinet above the washer and dryer. It has to be taken down and moved down a foot or so before the frig can be moved out there. Still feeling energetic

,I emptied the big frig now in the kitchen and cleaned it out. Then, I emptied the old frig (which is moving to the utility room for our extra frig..it will hold extra milk and eggs).

I am now officially pooped! Once I finish this entry, I am headed to bed. Toby rented movies last night...he got Eight Below. We watched that last night. It was pretty good. He also got Duma...not sure what that one is about...that's another family movie, I believe. He was looking for a car movie....the only thing he found was Starsky and Hutch! So, perhaps he will want to watch that tonight..not sure. Better to be to bed late tonight than tomorrow.

If you feel led to do so, please pray for my Honey. He is having difficulties at work...namely with his boss...he is over-burdened with responsibilities anyhow...but they lost one IMA and have yet to replace him. So, that puts even more work on my Honey. He wants to do the very best job he can...but they keep piling more and more on him. I know he is there because he is supposed to be there...I am praying that he does well and can overcome this hurdle. Mastering this job would be such a boost to him!

Okay...Honey is done in the shower...I'm gonna go do my all time favorite thing to do...SNUGGLE!!
