Finally...a bit of blogging time!

Why is it so hard for me to get here and blog???!

Life is busy...too busy....and will continue for a time to come. But, busy for such a good reason!!! The house remodel project is coming along so nicely. Martha and Ken will arrive here Friday evening, all loaded with siding and drywall to finish the job. The work will begin again Saturday morning. I am so looking forward to seeing those rooms!! And to start moving the children into their new spaces. And to have them back in the house. And to set up my office area. And to move the piano and set up the reading nook. And to look for a big, comfy, overstuffed, relaxing chair and reading light for my Honey. Such fun awaits us!!!! We are incredibly blessed by Martha and Ken to have this job done. Thanks guys!!!!!

I went shopping with 2 friends yesterday. What a great time it was!!!! It's always nice to get out with others...and dare I say it? alone! I love my children dearly....but it is nice to be able to talk freely and not worry about who has to potty, who wants what, who wants a cookie...ya-da, ya-da, ya-da. I thank God for friends to share days like that.

One of the friends I went with yesterday is graduating two of her children this year. They are having a big graduation party soon. I am honored to be making the cakes for the party! I love doing cakes...even in this hectic time around here, I am looking forward to creating the cakes!!! I have the items ordered finally (!) for the toppers. One website wouldn't let me see the shopping cart to finalize my order...this, after filling the cart twice last night...and the power blipping off and on....went to another cake site, found my items and ordered away with no problem!

We have our pool set up again and the children have spent a considerable amount of time in it already! I bought an air mattress for my big butt yesterday. The rings we have just don't do the job comfortably.

The sun is now up and the dryer buzzer is going off. That means computer time is up for me and time to get on with the day's activities.

I think of you all often. Sounds like all is going well with the remodeling project...it's going to be so wonderful. I know you are getting excited. I am happy for you guys. You have such a beautiful homestead and family.
