My parents bought a home!!

It's with mixed emotions that I relay this news.

My Mom called me the other day to tell me that they had made an offer on a home and it was accepted. They will be closing on the purchase of this home on Oct 15th.

I'm so happy for them..it's been a very long summer for them. They've been looking for a home since the spring. They've lived on the road in their RV for over 5 years now. It was time to have a home again.

Here's where my mixed emotions come in...I'm happy for them, but sad for me. I had so hoped they would live close to us. I know why they chose NY, but my selfish daughter side wanted my folks near me. I know they'll visit...but it's not the same as living here.

I'm happy for them to finally have this big question answered. Living in limbo is so hard...we've been there...and stayed there for far too long prior to moving here...and are about to head back into limbo with the perhaps sale of our home....but it is such a wonderful feeling to have that home. To know that decision is made.

So, Mom and Dad, I'm happy for you...but make sure you plan on making MANY visits south!! We miss you!!!!!

Glad they have finally found a house to call home. Living on the road like that must have been hard, not to mention cramped.

I am sorry you are so sad they will far away though. I can understand your sadness about this!!!
