Last update for tonight...

Mom just called....Uncle Wayne is out of surgery. They were able to get the bleeding stopped...but the prognosis is not that good.

He is still on the ventilator, but breathing pretty much on his own. His blood pressure was pretty good.

The question is....how much damage has been done to his brain...and how much can it repair itself?

My family is all on their way to their respective homes....my heart just breaks for my Aunt Nina...going home to an empty home without her husband. I'm just praying that this is a temporary situation and she will have her beloved home with her soon.

I'm headed to bed now...not sure if sleep will come...but that's where I'm headed...since it's after 1am....

Couldn't sleep for some reason, and decided to click on to see what was up in HSB one more time before bed. Thank you for the update!!! I will be praying!!! Keep us posted when you can dear.

Thanks for the update. It is still early evening here in NZ, so I will pray before I go to bed too.
Our friend was not able to breath on his own after surgery, so that is a good sign that your uncle can! Also, the doctor told the family that whoever put Johnathan (our friend) on his side at the scene of the accident saved his life. When I read that your uncle's friend did this too - that is the best recovery position. It was a long haul in hospital. Our friend Johnathan is only just being released this week after nearly 2 months. He was in a coma for 10 days to start with.
