Tuesday's thoughts..Okay, so don't fall over...yep, I'm blogging two days in a row! Not a whole lot to blog about...just our daily doings.... Watched a tv show last night that I've never watched before. It was called Trading Spouses, meet your new Mommy. It was on CMT. I don't usually watch shows like this....but for some reason, we watched it. Can't say it was all that good, but once we started it, it kinda seemed like we needed to finish it. The LA Mom was a Christian, she switched with a MA Mom who was into astrology and all that jazz. While I thought the LA Mom standing her ground on her beliefs was good, the way she presented herself was not. Especially when she got home! Oh my!!! Not even a kiss or an I missed you to her family..she went balistic on how evil the other woman was, how they should have been praying for her, etc. The poor family...they actually had enjoyed the time with the MA Mom...and their homecoming with their Mom was not a good one. She just went on and on about how evil the MA Mom was...and she was most definitely involved with some dark, scary stuff. But, save that for after you've loved on your family!! I guess my point is this....she has three daughters...all of whom enjoyed the MA Mom's visit. When their own Mom returns, all she can do is criticize the MA Mom and her children and husband for not praying hard enough for her. Which side sounds more inviting? The MA Mom who was all nice and welcoming or the LA Mom who was coming down hard on everyone around her? Yes, we should point our children to God, but if we do so in such a pushy manner, we run the risk of pushing them away from the very One we seek to lead them to. Hmmmm...food for thought..... Today, we'll be home. I don't have any plans to go anywhere for the rest of the week...and beyond. We're not ones to be on the road all the time anyhow, but now more than ever, we just stay home. I believe the cost of gas could be a blessing in disguise to some families. They spend so much time on the road, that they are not at home together much. To be a keeper at home, you actually have to be at home. Had a bit of rain earlier this morning. Sure praying it rains all day...and tonight too. I did read that this is the hottest June for the last 60 years. ICK! Heat records are not something I care about breaking!!! The article also said that this did not mean a miserable summer. The forecast is for average or slightly below average temps for July and August. And! We've already have twice the rain we did at this time last year. The drought is not supposed to return. Oh, how we pray this is true. The drought last year was awful. I think I've found a source for milk closer to home!!!!!!!!!!! How exciting that is to me!!!!! We're having frig issues again, so until Honey gets that figured out and repaired, I don't have extra frig space for milk. As soon as he gets it taken care of, I'm headed for milk!!!! My computer time this morning is about up...have a couple of e-mails to answer before I get offline.... Have a most blessed day!!! { Post a Comment } { Last Page } { Page 53 of 348 } { Next Page } |
