Introductions!
|
Here I am, venturing to a new blogosphere. I blogged over at Homeschoolblogger for a year +, but the new site updates and my computer didn't get along. I am excited about meeting new friends and reconnecting with old ones.
My husband and I are quickly approaching our 5th year wedding anniversary and we have two daughters, ages 3 and 5 1/2 months. I would love to live on a farm or at a camp in the middle of nowhere. Until that happens I am loving city life!
I plan to homeschool our children. My oldest has a very mild form of ataxic cerebral palsy possibly due to lack of oxygen at birth. She is completely self sufficent and very intelligent. She has therapy twice a week, one day is physical and occupational therapy, the other day is speech therapy. We have the option of getting her therapy through the school system but I really don't want to travel that road. I have dabbled with Before Five in a Row and with Letter of the Week . I plan to buckle down a little more this year and do a k-3 program with her.
Anyways, I am interested in hearing from others and look forward to my new blogging life here on the homestead! |

Glad to have you here at Homestead Blogger. My 6 year old was a preemie and has mild CP on his left side due to a brain hemmorhage. We did a lot of therapy when funds were available till he turned three. Now he bicycles a lot to keep his achilles tendons stretched. I still approach life with a therapy standpoint even as far as the types of toys I like to get for him. Blessings from the Big Sky Country.........Denise (prairiemom)
