First of all go to my daughter's blog to see a beautiful display of pictures. I love how these came out on the top of the blog. Go HERE. Next on hand here is "We picked our ONE pumpkin." We found vines next to the shed out back and then one day we saw a big green thing growing. At first we were not sure what it was but then we guessed that it was a pumppkin. My daughter and sil decided to pick it yesterday. So we saved ourselves at least four dollars by the size of it.
Today I tried Suzanne McMinn's Raisin Bread recipe. Go to her blog Chickens on the Road for the recipe and delightful writing. Princess C always likes to knead her own little loaf with me.
My daughter uses cloth diapers to save money. Here she is hanging them up with Princess C. She thought of a real timesaver by putting the diapers in a reusable shopping bag hung over her shoulder so she could just reach in grab one and hang it up. No bending reaching walking or moving a basket. I was taking this pic hanging off the front porch so the house got in the way.

The houseflies were crawling all over the screens on the outside today. Maybe it was too cold for them It was around 65 to 70 but they are used to the 80s. At least we did not have trouble with the pirate bugs today. Well, actually since it was raining I did not go outside but they weren't coming in the windows which they were yesterday right through the screens. Do you think we will be used to the amount of insects out here by next year this time? I should take a poll on that issue.

Behind my d and two of her littles is the fenced are by the side of the barn where we eventually want to have some animals. The other side of the barn and behind the barn is also included in that area. But the fence needs fixing. There are corn fields behind their property.
