Dear Reader

My Mother had hurt her wrist a few weeks ago and just now decided to see the Doctor. The Doctor told her that she had fractured her wrist. She now has to wear a brace for at least six weeks. Not the best thing to happen right when we are almost finished with moving. My poor Mother, hope she gets well soon.

Tomorrow is my Father's Birthday so we are going to try to and finish as quickly as possible at the old house so we can get back before he gets home from work. I hope all goes well tomorrow, I do not think that my Father needs anymore stress.

I was thinking today, at times I am a rather strange person. Most people think the book "Moby Dick" is a rather boring and unentertaining (especially for a teenage girl). I, however, love this book and have read it six times and enjoy it every time. I also like watching movies many people find boring such as "It's A Wonderful Life". I love this movie, but James Stewart is one of my favorite actors, so naturally I like things he is in. I guess everyone has things they like that not many people care for.

I only have seventeen days until I leave for California to care for my Nephews while my Sister is recovering. I will be home the twenty-seventh of Febuary. I am not looking forward to my three hour delay in Seattle (I do not really understand why I am flying from Oregon to Washington just to end up in California. Seems like a rather round about way to me).

Well time for me to go to bed. In the words of Richard Bach, "Learning is finding out what you already know."

Sincerely,

~Mary-Ann~

I my self love flying! So I hope your flight is wonderful. If you are searching for books to bring I would recommend Elsie Dinsmore by Martha Finnly, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, or Word of Honor by T. Elizabeth Renich. Or you could read Moby Dick for the seventh time!

I do like those books, it is something to ponder. Although I think I am going to read "Sentimental Tommy" by J.M. Barrie. I love reading J.M. Barrie's work. Or I will read the Hamlet book I just bought.

I do not mind flying I just have not been on a plane since I was seven! I do not know to much about flying alone.

Sincerely,

~Mary-Ann~

I'm still not sure about this trip to CA...who will I talk to in the mornings?

I will still go on. My Sister always sleeps at least until noon (she is rather lazy) so I will have free time early in the morning when My Grandfather and I are the only ones up. My Grandparents are early riasers. We can always talk then.

Sincerely,

~Mary-Ann~

Hello Miss Mary-Ann!

I read about your dear mother's injury and will certainly keep her in prayer. She is lucky to have you all and I'm sure you will take good care of her. You are a lovely girl and I enjoy reading about your interests. If you are "strange" then I am, too-- though I prefer to think of it as being "charming" or "with character." Who wants to be like everyone else? ;-)

Amy

PS~ Wishing your father a very Happy Birthday!
