We had hoped this would be the last day of packing, but, alas, it was not to be. It decided to storm instead. We had to leave the old house much sooner than usual. I can say we were not at all pleased. We did however make a trip to storage that we did not acomplish yesterday. Todays injury was myself managing to painfully remove my entire toe nail. Cause unknown. So after bleeding a tremendous amount of blood I have only nine toe nails instead of ten. Such is life. I have to help unpack books later this evening. Our library is so full of boxes we can no longer use the fire place or listen to the radio. I miss being able to listen to our Old-Time Radio programs in the evening or being able to find the books we were all reading before we moved. I am still missing "Uncle Toms Cabin". Well I should really start on the library. In the words of Booker T. Washington, "There are two ways of exerting one's strength: one is pushing down, the other is pulling up." (I have had much experience with both of these for the last few weeks, so I thought it was only proper.) Sincerely, ~Mary-Ann~ |
