Dear Reader

As most of my readers know, I am back to blogging. I will not be able to post as often as I would like because of my busy schedule. Aside from my College classes and just generally busy life, I am in the midst of writing a chapter book, the first in a series. I try to spend most of my free time devoted to my book, but I am going to find the time for this as well.

Sincerely,

~Mary-Ann~

Monday, October 13, 2008 - Starting a chapter book?

Posted by ajhelvie

Dear Mary-Ann,
To write a chapter book sounds like fun and a lot of work. What is the topic you are doing? Will it be inteneded for adults or children? I like your ambition and hope you find writing you book enjoyable and satisfying. *smile* I enjoy looking at your blog but I have to be jonny on the spot at we have our music set up for our two little ones through our computer and your music over rides it so our eldest gets frusterated at having the music interupted during quite time. *smile* I like you pictures though and actually know some people in Oregon (big state) but I know some people. *smile*
Take care and remember to pray always.
Blessings, -me- (Mommy of two little blessings)

Sorry about the music problem, the volume for it is at the bottom of the blog;~}. I should probably make that easier for people to get to. I had to change the music I had before because it was so quiet that you could only hear a few notes. Now the music I have is really loud!

I write children's stories, mostly sticking with stories written in old fashion style or based in the past. The chapter book I a currently writing is based in 1932 and is about a young girl growing up in the Depression (my favorite era). Though I have yet to be published, I have had the honor of being rejected *smile* by Duttons Publishing on my first book.

Well, thank you for the comment.
