Dear Reader

08:23 AM, Wednesday, September 17, 2008 .. 8 comments .. Link

I have decided to close my blog for a while. I have gotten bored of posting to have no one read it. I am sorry to the few that do read my blog, but I am very discouraged right now to continue. I have only had 29 comments in the last four months, which just shows me that no one is interested enough in what I write to leave a comment. I know that everyone says "well, not every one has time to leave comment, maybe you don't post often enough", but they seem to have the time to leave them on others blogs, ones who blog less than I do. I do not intend to offend anyone, I just feel I need to do this. I will take it up again someday, but for now I just need to let it be for awhile. I have been thinking about doing this for a long time now. I will continue to read others blogs and leave comments. Please do not take this post as a "Leave a comment or else", I am not looking for a flood of comments saying "Don't leave". I just thought you all should know why I have decided to stop for now.

Sorry,

Mary-Ann

I'm new but felt like I should comment. I too have felt this way on several different blogs so I understand perfectly. Keep your chin up and stay in your walk with God. I look forward to seeing your posts again when the time is right for you. I see you right children stories that sparked my interest since I have two little ones. If you feel up to it pass one along sometime. God Bless!

I will miss your blogs. I often do not comment... hardly have time to read anymore, but I do occasionally try to keep up. I do know how hard it is to lose others comments. I have gone through spurts like that as well. It caused me to consider why I blog? Do I want people to listen to me? (been guilty of that) Or am I doing it because I enjoy it? I decided that I want a new look for my page and instead of relying on Jocelyn's design, I want to create one new... cuz I think it would be fun. Now I'm back to the original templates while I play with it. I at first twinged and thought I should have left it alone until I created a new one, but then realized it wasn't about how it looked and I shouldn't fuss over that... meaning do I have so much pride that I can't let my growing bloopers show? Even us grown up ones have much to think about as to why we blog and how we blog! Good for you for taking time to think on it. And you are right... you should enjoy blogging. If you don't, finding a a better way to fill your time is a great idea. *smiles*

Warmly,
~Melissa

Oh, I do hate to see you go! I have missed visiting with you and your mother, too. This summer has been such a busy time for us all. I wasn't able to really keep up with my own blog due to all of the summer gardening and chores. I think that now that the fall of the year is upon us, you would see an increase in readers. I don't mean to try to talk you out of leaving--I do understand that sometimes, we all need to step away for a time. (But if you decided to stay, that would be wonderful, too!)
Best wishes to you whatever you do! :-)

Well, sorry you are not enjoying blogging. My daughter isn't either... for different reasons. I wanted her to do it as a way to get her to write more. LOL! It didn't work :) I thought, okay.... all this talk about getting the kids to write more maybe I ought to set an example. So, I started a blog in the spring. I wrote my dad and told him that I started a blog because I had gotten away from writing. In this day and age everything is email and you can be kind of criptic in writing emails... I had almost completely forgotten how express myself on paper!! My dad is a writer and believes in writing every day. I don't get many comments, but that isn't my reason for blogging so it's okay. I encouraged my sister and my brother to start one, too. We comment on each others. It's fun because my brother lives in Africa, my sister in the Yukon in Canada and I am in the States... Anyway, I believe that we have different stages in our life and different interests that take us on various tangents. Maybe now isn't the time to blog, but someday it may be a way of keeping you connected with your brothers and sisters. Blessings, Angela

Blessings Mary Ann, I enjoy your blog very much. I do accept your feelings and speak God's blessings over you NO matter what you do. This place is huge with all our friends it can and is difficult to keep up. We all blog for different reasons and seasons. Have a blessed rest of the year. I understand how you feel, and you do what you need to. I'll miss you.
My blog has even fewer comments than yours, but we still keep plugging along, eh? :)
Blessings~
