bread

Well... I am trying to make our own bread... I tried yesterday... I tried a few months ago and I tried years ago... all with the same result... BAD!

I would love to hear from the experts of some tried and true methods to get light and fluffy bread instead of hard as a rock and thick bread...

Well.. even though it is January... I worked out in the garden today for a bit... I needed to pull out some old plants. I am trying to get my plans together for our garden this spring. I am also looking for some inexpensive plans for a smallish greenhouse. I would like to do a lean to off of one of our back sheds.

We live out in the country so we use Hughes Net for our satellite internet... This company is starting to irriate me. Every Saturday night at 9:10 pm... it slows down  and we get a little orange warning that we have exceeded our threshhod. It lasts all day Sunday and then on Monday it goes back to being green.. I have sent email after email and have gotten absolutely no response.

For those of you that live in the country... what do you use for internet access?

I have also been working on making our own bread. Just like you I've tried and stopped, then tried again. Sometimes the loaves are wonderful and other times they're hard and heavy and the problem I have is that I have no clue what I've done (or haven't done) that makes the difference. I'll be watching your blog to see the responses you get.

When we first moved out here we ended up using Wild Blue Satellite Internet. The price seemed high to me for such a slow speed, which was just a little faster than dial-up. In Chicago we paid $20 a month for high speed dsl. We now have dsl with the phone company which recently came out to our area and is almost as costly as the satellite but at a much faster speed.
