Hello everyone,

Today is my aunts Birthday! She is turning 42 and can you believe she is a grandma. I think she is to young to be a grandma. She is a very nice aunt, she always calls me Sis I don't know why but she does. Maybe she calls me that because I am a sister to 3. I don't know but I don't mind it, but there are a lot better nicknames for me than Sis. "Oh Well"!

Thank you all for your prays for Vi I will update you when I hear any word. I also need some pray for my other friend Alexandria. She is 11 and yesterday she was doing a handstand and forgot to stand on her hands and she stood on her head and popped her neck. when she went to the Chiropractor it was very swollen and he did not want to pop her neck incase of further damange. She is going to the doctor to have X-Rays (and she should be there right now) and pray that it is nothing serious and will be easy to fix. Well I guess I am just full of pray requests.

Today we went on a field trip to Wild Oats(the organic grocery store). It was very interesting. Some of our friends went and my cousins and us.

Here's the recipe for s'more sandwhich cookies:

Ingredients--

3/4 cup butter, softened.
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 tblspoons spoons milk
1 tspoon vanilla extract
1-1/4 cups all purpose flour
1-1/4 cups graham crackers crumbs (about 20 squares)
1/2 tspoon baking soda
1/4 tspoon salt
1/8 tspoon ground cinnamon
2 cups (12 oz.) semisweet choco chips
24 to 28 large marshmallows
Directions --
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Beat in egg, milk, and vanilla. Combine the four, graham cracker crumbs, baking soda, salt and cinnamon; gradually add add to creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by TABLESPOONS 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 for 8-10 min. or until golden brown. Remove to wireracks to cool.
Place four cookies bottom side up on a microwave safe plate top each with a marshmallow. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 16-20 seconds or until marshmallows begin to puff (do not over cook). Top each with another cookie. Repeat. Yiled: about 2 dozen.

We had these all eaten in a day but they are RICH. enjoy!!

My mom had an "Aunty Sis" who was the oldest of my grandpa's 10 siblings. All of her brothers and sisters called her "Sis" and when they had children they all called her Aunty Sis. I also knew a family who had an Uncle Brother :) I think it's actually fairly common for oldest children to be called that. I'd take it as a compliment.

Actually, now that I think of it, my mom still calls me Sis quite a bit, as do both of my younger siblings. I think of it as showing the importance of my position in their lives, not just a lazy nickname :D

I'm sorry to hear about your friend, she'll get better! I have nicknames too, some I'd rather not devulge;) Besides my mom and dad, family (aunts too!) call me Jessie. I'm a little weird about it, I like my family to call me that, but I have had people I hardly know just call me 'Jessie'. That's kind of a priveledge name, you have to ask me, or I just have to like you right from the start:P haha. Babies call me 'YaYa', kids I don't know call me 'Hey Lady' LOL. Sis' is a good nickname...my aunt will occasionally say "hey sister what's up?"

I like the nickname Jessie!!!!! It is funny what family an other people call people! My friends call me Mak or Makay. And my most hated nickname which my friend's sisters call me and my dad,aunt, and grandpa is macaroni. My dad calls me macaroni and cheese. I mean how do they get that out of Makayla, it is beyond me LOL!

Just to let you know your Auntie calls you sis because she wants too. That is the whole reason. Your Auntie does not call you Macaroni, not now or not ever. Thank you very much. I would have to agree that is a silly one. Sis is a very kind endearment and one uses it when one is well loved. Your Auntie loves you very, very much and always will.
