Growing up and moving out...and other meandering thoughts

We had an interesting day around here... DD has decided she would really like to move out on her own...now for most kids this is something you would expect... but I was afraid that she would just decide NOT to move out ever, because up until recently that didnt even seem to be a thought...now dont get me wrong, I love having her around, and will miss her greatly (Medfords not to far away, and she does have a cell phone). 

Today we worked on making meal plans and then making grocery lists from that...we will go grocery shopping after this and do some cooking for the freezer.. she has set some goals about what she wants to have saved before she moves and has figured out what It will cost her.. right down to calling the electric company to get an Idea of how much  electricity will cost for the apart ments she is intereasted in  renting...

Once she has moved it will seem strange here...even though she is so quiet you know she is around...what to do with the extra bedroom,  I told her she needed to make sure she got a place big enough for her floor loom and 2 pianos. 

 Oh and by the way, honey you need line up several big strapping fellers to move this monster TV of yours... her reply was .. well mom I was kinda planning on leaving that all here...so the only thing she is planning on taking is her bed, a  love seat, and an old  smaller tv in the bedroom...and her cat (we got that straight right away)...

Talked to my folks today  they have decided Tennessee Storms are way to severe for their liking...  the rendezvous they were attending got hit pretty hard .  

They stopped by the lodge store today and mom picked up a couple of  cast iron bread pans for me...I started looking at them the other day, wanting to get away from the non stick stuff.. only to find out that lodge is not going to be making  loaf pans any longer...so I will be glad to get them..  I asked mom if she bought  any dutch ovens.. and she said nope.. but I forgot to ask if dad had bought the store out.. he is the one I have the contest going with... I think last time we checked I had the highest stack of  dutch ovens.. lol..

Molly is coming along well..in fact she is much better then she was for quite awhile before she got sick.. her eyes are no longer yellowish from the jaundice, she eats with gusto, and is wagging her nubby and nipping my fingers again...we have come to a peaceful understanding, if I get enough butter on the pills she takes them!  No more wrestling matches.. and only one day left of them...

Im hoping that the next couple of days will be nice...I really need to get some of the grass cut before it over takes us.... I seem to be in super procrastination mode right now... need to work on that...I feel much better at the end of the day when I have accomplished something..
