A quiet day on the homestead

an update on the tree that didnt get decorated.. it is now in the front yard,  decorated for the birds... I took some apples and ornages and cut them up and strung them and hung them.. I also make some bird see ornaments and hung them... well at least the top half it decorated.. as I have a dog that will eat just about anything and has a fondness for oranges...

The snow is becoming a slushy mess.. but not before I took my tumble last night... I was not hurt and it was actually pretty comical... DH and I had run to the store, and I just quickly put on my  crocs.....anyway on the way in I  hit a snowy spot and slipped... I did not spill one drop of my hot chocolate, or my daughters drink.... the spot on my shirt came from trying to get a drink as my husband reverted back to his childhood and had  swerved  to hit the snow as I was taking a drink.  I dont know what gets into him, when it snows its time to go 4 wheelin even if its in my car.  lol   We are supposed to get more snow tomorrow... YIKES.. we have had several more good snowball fights... I won yesterday, I just showered him in snow  haha

I spent quite awhile last night working on trying to just get a coming soon sign on my website...the page editor was not working right and I am not experienced enough to  know it... so this morning I dumped it and reloaded it... it is working now... Last night DH kept coming out of our room and then going back in.. He told me this morning  when I have my chin resting on my hand and a certain look on my face he just doesnt talk to me  lol....and here I thought he had just lost his mind  hahaha...

I am in charge of our family get together for New Years eve... we are going to have  a taco feed...should be good...we dont have many fireworks so it will be rather quiet...hopefully DD will be feeling better by then, she is back at work but still feeling  poorly.    Have a wonderful weekend

Sounds like you and dh are having a good time. The snow won't stick here, so no snowballs. Oh well.
I hope your daughter is feeling better real soon and your taco feed is a success. We have an untalent show on New Year's Eve at church. Now if I could just figure out something that I wasn't talented in...Ha!

Snow Ball Fight

You are never too old to have a snow ball fight, make about six of them and put them into a freezer bag and save them in the freezer until august, then you can really surprise them. LOL
