General update..

Things at work are starting to work out well, as my young friend gets used to the new routines, he is responding with a much better outlook and attitude most days... I woke up yesterday thinking I really  need to get a schedule  of my day worked out since you never know what the new day will bring....It was driven home most forcefully when my DH called just shortly after I arrived at work and told me his mother was doing poorly and the outlook wasnt good...so I had to hand off my young friend and my bag with nothing more then his  class schedule for the sub to follow....wens, I will take care of this.

I came home and helped my DH what I could.. plane reservations and such... he was on the plane by 12:30 and to his mother by  2:30.  Last night she was doing a bit better, please keep Dee in your prayers, I would appreciate it very much.... I think the prognosis is not great but it would be nice for them to have a bit of time if possible...

Thankfully due to a very brisk sales of soaps this year I had the money to fly DH to his destination,  we have a few more orders to fill, at my daughters workplace and at DH's when he gets back.. Also the beeswax ornaments went over well at DD workplace... I think they would have done better at the bazaar had I had a small tree to put them on... I think folks thought maybe they were just very small soaps on a rope...

The plane trip was not in the budget so I will be getting a bit more resourceful for  Christmas...Normally my soap pretty much pays for Christmas... I am so thankful we had it and were able to get DH where he need to be...I have quite a few supplies in my  craft closet so I think I will refer back to my original plans and make  Rondy Shirst for 3 of my nephews....  I will also make  the adult exchange gifts which I used to always do... I had decided to buy gifts as my job has been taking alot of my time and energy,  I guess I will need to enlist some better time managment skills:>  lol

Last night I finished up the books for our muzzleloading gun club, I need to give them to the board tonight at the annual Christmas party... I am also getting a few things ready for the auction they have there... I will be taking a basket of soap, a sash that I wove, and a few of the beeswax ornaments... It should be a fun evening.. I will miss having my DH with me though...

Quite often when I am feeling as I was yesterday, I find myself at a little store the next town over called llama's and lambs...they have a very nice section of weaving thread, some great books, wool to spin, and so on... I wandered thru there for a couple of hours and was able to find a very nice little bump of llama wool that matches my quiviut  beautifully....  the alpaca that I originally bought was not the right color and  has so many noils(little knots of wool) in it that I didnt want to use it to ply with the quiviut.  I prefer alpaca to llama because it has been my experience that alpaca is much softer, but I think this will do nicely.

I think I may have buyers for my two spinning wheels... so hopefully they will be in new homes and being loved by Christmas... It was my intention to buy an lendrum st, but as I researched it more, I found the bobbins that come with it are not much bigger then the ones that came on my Ashford wheel, which was quite an aggravation for me and really the only thing I had against that wheel.... The Clemes wheels  totally and completely spoiled me to big bobbins I am afraid....  I have heard that  Clemes and Clemes is intending to start selling  wheels and carders again, around the first of the year.... I beleive I will save the money from the  two wheels and buy a new one from them possibly.. as long as the bobbins are still  HUGE:> It would be nice if it folded up but I dont know if theirs do or not...that is not as important to me as the bobbin issue...

I have reached the bottom of my cup of cocoa as well as information to share... so have a wonderful day and great weekend.
