Hectic Heaven

Life has been busy here..

I have been working the last couple of weeks. I took a couple of classes on aspergers last week and learned a great deal... but I have had first hand experience with this as well... I am hoping this turns into a permanent position...

Tonight I spent a few hours weighing out oils.. for soap.. I now have about 50 lbs of oil ready to make into wonderful soap...I will be making it starting tomorrow evening.. I have found its much easier to weigh out the oils and melt it all together then make the soap another day...

The fellas are leaving on an elk hunting trip friday so I will be working up a food menu and probably making some of the food up in advance for them...so next week promises to be pretty busy as well...

I did learn one thing this week and that is when you are upset about an order that was totally messed up, dont talk to yourself, when you think DH is asleep in the next room.. because he will probably  come out thinking you have flipped your lid...ask me how I know:>

I finished spinning my qiviat, and started spinning the alpaca I bought, but I am not to pleased with it... its got lots of short pieces and knots... uggg...and they charged a premium price for this stuff..   well off to work on the list..

I washed the fiber from my goats, but it's still pretty messed up. What's the best way to fix it? Should I card it? The lady who sold me these goats said that she didn't need to card it because it was so nice. But I have to do something, because I can't spin it like this.
How's the soapmaking going? You make huge batches. I'm still using the molds that you sent. Thanks. Have you ever tried hot processed soap? I tried one batch and was very happy with the results. I didn't like the way the hand-milled turned out.
Have a glorious day.
