The wheels have arrived

Things have been pretty busy here of late... work is probably my # 1 time absorber.... Last weekend we went to California to pick up the wheels that  I told you about in an earlier post... they are great... and probably the best feature about them is that they have a HUGE bobbin...Im am considering selling my Ashford and keeping both of these wheels...  one as a spinner and one to use mainly for plying.... the guy I bought them from seemed to think I ought to take them to rendezvous and offer lessons....

DH and I are looking to replace our very tired and old pickup.. I think we have decided to go with a Ford ranger... so if you have any thoughts about this pickup., good or bad please leave a note...

My daughter and I are going to enter a few things in the local fair... I am entering, a skein of fine single spinning, a skein of medium plied spinning, and a bulk plied skein, along with a sash I wove on the inkle loom and some baking powder biscuit and apple cake... ought to be fun.... DD is entering a Dish towel she wove, a counted cross stick piece she did, and a lap quilt she made....

I will try to get a picture of my spinning wheels up soon.. but alas my computer died and I am posting on a borrowed one... so it may be awhile...  Take care and stay cool...

One wheel for plying? Is that spinning several single strands of yarn into one larger; stronger strand?

There just isn't enough tome for the things we want to do, work gets in the way of fun all the time. LOL
