The Bet

Today DH and I went to the lake not far from our house... DH LOVES to fish.. he went yesterday, but it was so nice today he wanted to go again...I dont usually go, but today he seemed to want company, so I grabbed my inkle loom and some thread and out we went... It was beautiful up there... we spent most of the time just visiting and he was watching his pole, well most of the time.. about the time he would get side tracked a fish would hit,  and of course steal the bait....

I got my loom warped with a new pattern I had seen done and was weaving away.....  about 3:30 I was about ready to go... so I said if you dont get a fish in the next hour lets go... well from there we went to "the bet"   If he didnt catch a fish in an hours time I got  20 dollars to buy wool with... IF he  did.. he got 20 dollars to buy fishing goodies with... I figured I was pretty safe with that bet... about 10 minutes into the bet,  he got a good bite...and of course he hooked it...  I had mixed feelings about this fish... I saw my two lbs of wool slipping out of my fingers, but then it was a beautiful fish and would go nicely with the 3 he brought home yesterday.. as he was making his way down the bank he got to laughing so hard "thinking he had won yet again, that he quit realing the fish in momentarily that it spit out the hook and got away. 

They guy fishing on the other side of us even got in on it.. said if he hooked one he would let DH real it in.... I said that didnt count...  anyway 4:30 got here with no more excitement then a little nibble here and there...  so now the big decision is.... what color wool to get

The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, it was in the bag, er, net and then "poof" gone. LOL

Just wondering, how many adjective did he use when the fish got off the hook? ROTFLOL
