Hectic Heaven

Productive day

I started out this morning loading the washer, then put a ham bone on to cook.. right now its cooling in the fridge... not sure weather I will make  a pot of beans or split pea soup...Hmm seem to have an overabundance of eggs.. might make some homemade egg noodles... 

I was given three fleeces the other day so I spent sometime outside  skirting them... I will wash them when it gets warmer.. as I dont want to put the lanolin that washes off them in my septic system...  I dont think I will get much into  doing my own fleeces... there are so many opportunity's out there to buy wool that is already , ready to spin, and at such reasonable prices... it doesnt make sense to do it, except to learn how its done...I also polished and oiled my spinning wheel to get ready for my next  spinning jag...

My dutch oven demonstration went well... the kids were very attentive and asked some wonderful questions... and they loved the monkey bread I made   for them... the rest of the day was a bit on the wild side... I am glad we have a long weekend...

What a great feeling to have a productive day. I've always wanted to learn to spin...maybe someday...
