I guess its time for an update

I didnt realize how long it had been since I wrote... I have been busy with work and trying to get some of these bags woven.. I just completed the second one...I have enough warp for one more bag, and then I will rewarp the loom to do the straps... I will make a trip over to Ashland today (Im off, teacher work day)  so I can pick up the 3 extra bobbins I  ordered... so I can get even more projects going  lol...Im going to have to.. its amazing how fast my homespun yarn stash is disappearing...  I guess thats why I once read it takes about 5  spinners for every weaver.. early on kids were taught to spin at a very early age... they had to be a good spinner before they were ever allowed near the looms... I guess this kid started backwards  lol...

I have started my new job and am really enjoying it..  I think it is going well.. no major meltdowns yet... close a few times though... The teacher I am working with is an awesome teacher... when he gets going... the kids are on the edge of their seats with a sparkle in their eyes, and anxious to answer any questions he throws out there....  They just finished up a unit on the Oregon trail... so on tuesday I am dressing up in my long skirts and going to talk to them about  dutch oven cooking.  I have a story about my great, great, great, grandmother that happened when she was coming across on the covered wagon.. that I will share with them... I think it will be quite a bit of fun...I think we have decided on tuesday to do this... Ill post about how it went...  Have a wonderful day..
