Hectic Heaven

All set to start weaving again...

My DD and I had such a wonderful day today... we left here and went to Jacksonville to the spin/weave shop.. I found some dark brown wool and a beautiful  cone of canary yellow rug warp.   We then went to Ashland and I found some gorgeous 8/2 cotton for dish towels... I got black, teal, and purple this week, last week I got a sage green, white and dusty rose.. Im pretty set to make some very vibrant dish towels... .... coming back towards home we hit most every thrift store we ran into... and stopped at the used book store...

I am going to warp the loom this afternoon to make another wool bag,  from some of my handspun, when I get them done I will show them off a bit, these bags I will use or try to sell at our rendezvous... so I can buy more WOOL!  hehehe... I am kind of thinking of card weaving the straps for these bags instead of on the regular loom... pretty much all thats going on around here.... hope everyone is haveing an awesome day...

Oh! I forgot to add, that yesterday when I went over to Mom and Dads, I asked dad what it would take to make a couple more shuttles, he looked the shuttle over,  he slips on his shoes and out to the shop we go... He had a long piece of oak that was just the right thickness (it was from something else, but he just hated to throw it away)  and so  Dad and I made two more shuttles and a couple of pick up sticks.... so now I have three shuttles... I can do all kinds of things  lol... as Dad said.. thats probably the quickest 40 dollars you ever made  lol..

Sounds like you are pretty much self sufficient, can't wait to see the photos, I do so love your work, you have gifted hands...
