Yesterdays shoot

We headed out  about 7 am yesterday,  the shoot is held about 100 miles from our home....When we left is was pouring here... but by the time we got there it  was blue sky and nice... after a brief shooters meeting we headed out to the trail, my DH, Mom (she kept score),Dad, DB, DSinlaw, and nephew.   The trails this club puts on are always nice... except this year they thru in some hawk and knife stations as well at these stations you had to hold your gun and throw the hawk and then the knife.. I stuck one hawk... so three of the things I missed on my card was from that.. and since I only missed 6 total I also missed three of the shooting stations... I ended up with  17pts. out of 24 possible...and 3rd place in the womens division.. needless to say I was pleased...I dont usually do this well, and considering its been  well over a year since I have done any serious shooting I felt very lucky as well, I think the new glasses may have helped:> amazing what you can do when you can see the sights...                                             Sister in law got second,  brother got 3rd in flintlock section, and nephew got 1st in the jr division..

Unfortunatley when I have a good day, DH seems to always have off days... but the rest of the group did pretty good to...

Now this was also a challenge shoot.. our club against theirs....how they figure it out is averaging the scores... anyway for the 1st time in the 4 years I have been attending these, our club won... YIPPEE.    We had 10 shooters from our club and 6 of them was from our family.  lol 

There is always a potluck at the end and  of course that is when the rain started, so we grabbed our plates and headed under the nearest tree.    We got back about 4 pm  

I woke up with a touch of a cold today which I new I would since I got a bit chilled... I am fighting the urge to run over to Ashland and pick up more cotton and wool roving... stay home save money, stay home save money... I will just keep repeating that   lol... I want to work on the house some today and make sure its all in order for the rest of the week, since I didnt do much to it this weekend... hope you all have a nice day...
