10 ways to save money or be more frugal

1.  Eat at home, do some investment cooking... for times you need something fast or are to tired to cook
2. Cook from scratch
3. make a trip to town count,  do several errands on the same trip, I live 15 miles out...
4. Pay bills on time
5. keep tires properly inflated
6. buy in bulk, but watch the prices, bulk is not always a savings
7. use rags and cloth napkins instead of paper, same with plate get away from disposable..
8. change light bulbs out for the longer lasting ones that use less energy
9. make sure you do full loads... dishwasher and washer alike.
10. exercise, keeps you healthier, curbs the appetite.

I am happy to say that I do all but number 8. I do need to get the new bulbs in this house.

One thing we do is to add to left-overs to make them more appealing, case in point is chili, the kids don't really care for it, but love chili and rice, so after chili night, we add rice to it and reheat it and the kids gobble it up...
Two meals by simply adding a cup of rice...

I also turn leftover chicken soup into chicken pot pie by adding a rue to thicken it and a crust, then bake it...
