Hectic Heaven

Christmas day

Today was a very easy day... relaxing, peaceful, and void of most of the usual stress.  We had our main Christmas meal last night with my folks and brothers and sister and their families.   We woke up to rain this morning... lots and lots of it... it rained here pretty much all day....I was thankful for a warm dry house..

We turned on the lights on the tree and everyones stockings were passed out...I think every one was pleased... Its always fun to  watch the kids go thru their stockings..

We then opened pkgs from each other...again I think everyone was pleased.. This year was very spinning oriented for me...I recieved a spinnig wheel, an early Christmas present,  a beautiful set of hand carders, a  very nice bump of blue wool and a mystery batt...and a small crock pot...I had to laugh when I opened it because I had just seen them a few days ago and DH had a hard time getting me past them, its a perfect size for small amounts of things..  Little did I know, there was one already wrapped under the tree for me  lol

I dont know if any of you have had the opportunity to spin a mystery batt but they are fun... because they can contain all different types of wool as well as different color.. you end up with some very nice soft yarn...and you never quite know what it will look like....

now I need more bobbins for my spinning wheel...

I fixed a breakfast for the family of  Sausage links, eggs, fried potato's and english muffins... sure was good.... and then it happened... I got so sleepy I could hardly keep my eyes open... so about 12 oclock I laid down and went to sleep....I slept hard and good... I was not worried, about getting things done, about my daughter driving to work in the middle of the night... I have not slept that peacefully in, well, in a very long time...

For dinner tonight I fixed  hamburger patties and butter noodles (really egg noodles with cheese sauce) they are truly comfort food... not fancy but very good  lol...

I just finished whipping up the last of the cream... and had a slice of pumpkin pie with realy whip cream.. YUMMY:>  I hope everyones day was the best it could be... I hope you had a wonderful time with your family and friends..... Take care....
