Hectic Heaven

pretty quiet on the homefront today

I filled a few soap orders and delivered them, aggravated DH properly...harrassed DSS and DD abundantly, and now here I sit all by myself.... I guess the only folks I have left to give a hard time to is YOU!  lol

I did get the summer sausage mixed up and in the fridge.. will stuff the casings in the AM and take it over and put it in Pops smoker tomorrow.. that will take about 24 hours... the last batch I made was very good... I am working up a recipes as three of our 4 hunters got deer and s we have about 30 lbs of meat for jerky/sausage and so on...

The wind is howling right now.. blowing a wintery snowy storm our way...If it werent that DD has to leave here very early I would pray for a good snowfall.. but since she will have to be at work by 4 am this morning and we live close to 15 miles out, I will pray that it doesnt snow...

I love snowfalls, the silence it brings to the worlds around me..I can usually tell if it snowed just by the sound or lack of sound.. and we live in the country where there isnt much sound anyway. the big fluffy white blanket that covers everything.  I enjoy watching the big fluffy snowflakes fluttering down out of the sky... you know the ones that are so big they cover your tongue....I enjoy having a cup of hot chocolate and just staring out the window.... I told my SS today I wanted it to snow a foot so I could make a proper snowman...that didnt end up with leaves and dirt all over him  lol...

I am in a very reflective mood these days... memories are flooding around me.... thoughts of my grandparents that are no longer here... thoughts of  my childhood...what things I do remember.. things about when my daughter was young and what she enjoyed doing... Good night all...

So glad you stopped by my blog. I did not know either of my Grandmothers - only my Mom's Dad who lived with us for a while when my sister was a baby - Then we moved away and I only saw him briefly when I was in high school and we went back to OK for a visit.

But I do have good memories of holidays with many cousins who lived near when I was in school - and now am building memories for my grandbabies.

Just reading about the storm out there. I hope you didn't get hit too hard.
I have fond memories of my grandparents place at Christmas and the smell of lutefisk in the air. (I'm Swedish :) ) God bless your day.
