Hectic Heaven

Its raining, its pouring

And man, is it raining HARD.  These storms always make me very thankful for a good roof and a warm house and they make me very sleepy:>.. The only thing that would be better is snow...

I  didnt get alot done today... I delivered soap and soap baskets today,, went to the bank then to my folks house... I tried my hand at making summer sausage and put it in dads smoker... sure turned out good... we have some venison we want to make into sausage... we were going to take it to a place and have it processed but dont quite have the minimum they require.. and I think everyone that tried the sausage liked it...

I cant beleive how close Christmas is getting... I

have stayed within my buget.. but have broke my three gift rule...

I started several years ago, when money was VERY tight.. getting my daughter three gifts... one was  a type of clothing, the other was something for her future house (hoping she might move out someday:>) and the third was something fun... none of these gifts were extremely expensive... I also did her stocking.. but usually with stuff that she needed anyway... things like deodarant, shampoo, but also some fun stuff as well..  This year I set a budget and have stayed within it.. 

 I am making some of my gifts as well.. I have a  couple of sashes for nephews to make, and some adult gift ideas floating around...the adults in our family have a gift exchange... its kind of fun... because you arent supposed to go over 10 dollars... the fun part is seeing what neat thing you can do or get for that 10 bucks... usually I make something... one year I made tamales... not sure what I am going to do this year yet...

 I stay out of the stores as much as possible after Thanksgiving...I dont do will in large crowded areas...time to go feed. hope everyone had a wonderful day...

I find filling those stockings to be the hardest thing now that my daughters are in college! It was easier when they were little - now I pretty much just fill it with candy, etc.
