Hectic Heaven

Rendezvous and other things...

It seems like it has been ages since I wrote here... things have been fairly chaotic at best.... The babies are doing great.. I milk the mom and feed the little fella she didnt  take a liking to...she is a bit nutty though.. she wont feed him but if he gets out of her sight she goes looking for him...

We went to the last rendezvous of our season last weekend... its started out roughly but ended up nicely....On wens.  DH and I were going to work  half day then come home and load the truck and leave.... 10 minutes after DH left he called me and told me his clutch cable had broke, took awhile before I would beleive him as he tends to tell tall tales  to tease me... Anyway once I figured out he wasnt lying to me.. I told him I would meet him at my dads shop and we would  go parts shopping... when I drove up the driveway I kept smelling a really strange smell.. as I pulled up white smoke was boiling from under my hood.   It seems the air cond/heating unit somthing or other froze up... who would have thought  that both cars would break down just hours before we were planning to leave.  We found a clutch cable and DH fixed the pickup, my car is still broke down...:<  and will be until payday.

I sold quite a bit of soap (dad made me a really neat portable display box for my soaps and mom made a decal for the back)  I also sold a blanket at the rondy, we had a wonderful time and got lots of rest..... DH got a new camp name "Blackberry Jim"  because he fell in a ditch while picking berry's and the booshway just happened to be driving by when he fell in   hahaha.... I got lots of rest  and got to see some folks I hadnt seen in awhile....

I spent the weekend before helping my brother and his wife make their capotes (wool coats)  we made two and then DB decided he needed another....

back on the homestead we got our first big tomato  day before yesterday... the corn is looking really good    the beans seem to be taking their time in coming on... the rest of the garden got lost in the weeds somewhere.. Things should be settling down so I will try  to get in here more often...

Wow you sure have been busy. Sorry to hear about your cars going on the fritz. It always seems to happen at the worse time doesnt it?
