Capotes

01:24, 2006-May-8 .. 1 comments .. Link
Capotes are a wool coat, very common back in the pre-1840 mountain man era, actually I think they used just plain wool blankets alot as well..they are really nice coats and VERY warm, I have one that is a short one. I have the sleeves long enough they kind of go down over my fingers or I can roll it up.. They usually have a hood and a shoulder type cape, depends on what the folks want... Usually when I get orders for these its 100+ degrees out lol.  I will post a picture soon of one I have made.  I thought I had one but cant find it...

I made one for Norm and am tempted to make one for me - a little dressier for going to town.
