sourdough, breadmaking and rendezvous

I started a sourdough starter today.. I decided to take my breadmaking one step higher and give it a try...so I have a wonderful little brew sitting on my counter bubbling away,  the chemist side of me is content.  I have this idea to use the starter here in a couple of weeks to make the  bread recipe posted a couple of posts down....I think the  sourdough will add another delightful element to that recipe...and if it turns out well I will use it at the dutch oven cookoff we have at our clubs yearly rendezvous, held over fathers day weekend....I also plan on using  the pumkin crisp recipe I posted awhile back... DH will probably make a main dish to enter so I will probably not...but it sure is  fun to cook in those black pots...This will give me time to perfect the recipes before the contest. 

I have been put in charge of the rifle trail at our annual rendezvous...so I will use the usual metal targets... and some various vegtable targets...maybe some things like straws... I will also have a station that will put the guys at a disadvatage.. like hanging diapers on a clothes line and folding and diapering a baby...  I will have to do some more planning on it.. but should be fun:>  This is my first year doing the rifle trail usually I am in charge of the food for the saturday night potluck/dinner. 

The day is beautiful here and I guess I should get busy,  tomorrow  thru friday I will be working at the school and then again on monday...  we will go to the local plant fair on  saturday so I need someplace to plant what I buy:>  Have a happy day every one..
