Hectic Heaven

whats up around here

The last couple of weekends I have been staying pretty busy.... DH and I have gone target shooting with our muzzleloaders the last two weekends... and fishing once.... I took my entries in for the fair today... I entered two hanks of homespun,  a sash I wove on the inkle loom and a purse made out of yarn I spun, then crochet and felted...the lady that took it in really liked it  lol.... tomorrow DH will take his entries in... he has some yellow summer squash, eggs and some rosemary... he was supposed to take in lettuce and radishes, but the radishes bolted and the digger squirrels have pretty much eaten the lettuce.... we are over run with them this summer.. so DH is working on bringing the population down....

The chickens seem to be holding their own now... I think whatever it was, was going in the front door....we moved the pullets in with the older hens last weekend....its nice only to have to take care of one pen instead of two....

We bought a new wedge tent at the last rendezvous that we want to set up this weekend and try to figure out a way to put a fly  out the front of it... I will miss my wall tent but not the work that goes into it...we have another rondy in 2.5 weeks... thats part of why we were practicing.... I havent shot my gun in two years... but I kicked butt today... except for two shots I hit  the target in pretty tights groups some just widening holes previously made... amazing what you can do when you can see  lol

I guess its time to go water the field dogs (goats)...  :>
