Homestead meanderings...

Today is DH and my 3rd anniversary, some days it seems like 20 years other days it seems like we just got married...he played hookey and we spent the day together..... the sun was out the latter part of the day and we played out in the yard, mowing,  picking up trash, playing with the goats...Just a wonderful day all in all...

Pam if you remember is the goat that jumped the fence back in Feb.  and while it has been only two months she is somewhat rounder around the middle...giving me the a sneakin susupicion that there is more in that tummy then just alfalfa.. 

The snakes also seemed to be enjoying the warm day as well, and while I dont kill them, they are not my most favorite critter to run across..and it seemed that I was  squawking constantly today...when I would realize that there was a snake in my path... 

While I was pulling the  hose back after watering the goats, a small hawk must have thought it was a snake because he tried to swoop down and get it.. and if a bird can look surprised he surely did..

There is a sad part to this day though, Molly is again ill, and back on antibiotics... If this doesnt kick it then we will have to put her down (the vet wasnt very optimistic)...I have had her since she was about 7 weeks old and she is now about  15.   Hopefully the antibiotics will kick it this time.   

Its nice to have the blogs back up.. I dont think I realized how much time I spend here... and the enjoyment I get from reading about other folks.  although, maybe I need to cut it down just a bit... maybe...  hmmm  naww...
