Two new resuces maybe???? Help need advice!!!!

A few days ago our old 4h swine leader called my son and asked him if we wanted his horses???. I went to see the horses again ( we saw them 1 yr ago) today, they have april  a 20 yr old pinto/arbian with about 2 foot long tangles in her mane, needs shots ( has not had any in years), feet trimed and to put on about  300 to 400 pounds, also her teeth floated.Most

of all she need a loving home with tons of tlc. Then we have her stable mate cody a 17 yr old

quarter/paint he is good weight, but needs his shots( same thing no shots for years), feet trimed, teeth floated and room to run. They both are in a  12 by 40 ish pen  they have shelter but are in mud, they have mud caked on thier hoofs. The problem is that he wants $2000.00 for both of them and we would get all the corral panels and shelter. I just don 't want to make my hubby broke saving them, he says I am not wordly $$$, but I have rescue $$$ , I have told him I think the Lord uses us to help save some of his animals that it is our calling.

It would mean more rent on our farm ( we pay per horse) my feed bill would go up about $200.00 a month , and my feed bill is $1000.00 a month as it is now, it would be $1200.00

a month. But can I say no??? The girls have thier heart set on saving them. April would make a good lesson horse after she puts on the weight and cody he would be a good 4h  horse for shows and a good lesson horse for the bigger children. I want to get back into giving more lessons and I do need more lesson horses ( we have only one , because we lost the other 2 last winter and a baby horse tooo). Help what do I do?? I want to save them and give them a home, but my feed bill!!! I have given this to the Lord he will lead the way. I will keep you up to date and see if we have 2 new rescues.God Bless, mj

it sounds like a good price, but considering their condition I would offer 500 for both and see what happens. It will cost a lot to have them see a vet and have all that work done. Praying for you. I hope you can get them.
