Roosters and geese, turkeys oh my

How many roosters do we really need? We have 19 roosters. 4 are not real roosters, they are but not, they have real rooster men who rule the coup over them. My lovely middle daughter baby bear keeps rescuing  all these roosters. she has some that have 3 inch long spurs and are as tame as a house cat!These are fighting rooster that run wild by our ranch , when they get sick or hurt they end up on our ranch and she babies them gets them better and keeps them. Them we also ordered some 2 yrs ago it was a straight run we ordered with the understanding that any extra boys will be dinner, but no the babies gave then ALL names  and they are still there! Help I have 5 different chicken pens due to all of the roosters. We hubby and I are so tempted to set some of the boys free and see is they go next door to the chicken farm! But we wont because it is not right. I would like to do a free to good home but they might end up dinner! Oh well until we figure out what to do we are being over run by them.

My dear sweet goose honkers who we hatched and hand and house raised has turned into to a real man. The other day he was making his mommy I want to noise, so i went and sat on a bucket in his bedroom (coup) of course my little boy comes over wraps his head around my neck sits in my lap loving me until his flock came close by us then he turned into a goose, he bit me and jumped out of my lap spread his wings  to show off he is not a mamas boy. Honker hatched last year Easter Sunday so he is a year old know and a mean a little  boy opps man. He even has taken over his dads place as head goose.

We have a turkey waddles who weighs close to 60 lbs! he is getting so fat he can barely walk. waddles is not they type of turkey  who is to live past  turkey day. Waddles is 2 years old this month. What i fear is one day when we go to feed him we will find him feet up. The baby bean has keep him as a pet , so eating him is out of the question and how long do you cook a turkey his size for? and will he even fit in my oven??? opps I did not say that, but boy he looks yummy! even the baby bean drools over him! We ordered  with the straight run and 8 other turkeys, well only 3 of the 10 turkeys lived  so they became pets they whitey died the white turkey , so waddles and Wanda are married and pets. Wanda is in good shape we are thinking about having her marry a new turkey so we can have Wanda grandturkeys, but not while she is with waddles.

I love your blog. I get a kick out of reading all about the animals. we love cows because my youngest, Sarah has a cow valve in her heart. Do you ever post any of your wheat free recipes? I would love to try some, my oldest is allergic to wheat.

Your daughter sounds like my son, he doesn't want to have any of the roosters for dinner, they are all pets. With the price of feed jumping everytime I got to the feed store, he may have let some be dinner.
