Friends.... and husbands question?? and Mr.moo is silly.......

God has blessed me with a life long friend of almost 23 yrs (i hate to say it , it makes me sound OLD). Jan came out this weekend to see us. It was fun, we scared our daughters with stories if when we were young (ok they laughed at us). We told them how we drove our mothers up a wall it was fun. We also went to lunch , watched movies, went to the book store, we had fun just seeing each other. I can't wait to see her again. Jan will hopefully

come out for my daughters  baby shower. We were not able to do much due to I was so worn out from thursday night. I over did it, with my health I can't do that. so next visit we can

scare our daughters more ok i'll be honest they will laugh themselfs silly.

My husband asked me a question tonight , he took me to a wonderful dinner. They question was " would I give up all my animals to be healthy?" I shocked him with my answer. The answer is NO. Why would I give up the blessings God gave us? Why would I give up the love they give? the joy they bring? The laughter they bring? I love it when i milk my  goat and she kisses me the whole time or how she call's out mama. My dogs, marty who warns me before an allergic reaction, hope who is my body gaurd ,buddy, my love.(hope is a golden,who is very protective of me) Then i asked my husband a question " would you give up fishing and hunting to be healthy?" he said NO. I think he understood.

I feel that God has used us to help save his animals. We have saved so many and i love it.

We have saved every thing from a pigon from the middle of the street(fat tony) to orphan goats,buttins, butter , they lived in my house for 3 months in diapers. We have also brought

in the house piglets that need 24hr care of course in diapers. All of our horses are bought rescues. We save countless chickens , all of the cats are rescues 3 when thier eyes were closed. I love this calling I would not give it up to be healthy. God had his  plan for each of us, if he did not us to it , it would not happen. I have learned to be dependent on him with my illness, some times when it is a bad day ( when the fear of having a bad reaction and dying) I'll

tell myself that if it is Gods plan for me to go home I can not stop it  or change it. It is Gods will not mine. I need still to remind myself of that when the fear comes.

Mr.moo is our beef calf and he is silly. When we bought him  he was lonely so i tried to put him in the goats bedroom , buttins and butter , said no way. So Mr. moo went in the bedroom next to the goats, but he was still lonely. I then put the baby goats in with him, it was a hit. he loves his goats , they eat and sleep together. But we have a problem! Mr. moo thinks he is a goat! When the animals are let out of thier rooms to run , he runs with all of the goats,head butting, jumping, mooing when they bahbah. My girlfriend jan laughed so hard.  We also have turkeys that quack insted of turkey talk.( they were raised by ducks) Oh , how I love the life the lord gave us, with resuce animals , confused animals, animals in my house, all I can say is WHAT A BLESSING.

Oh, I love that you take care of so many animals. It sounds like our house. I joke about having a sign at the end of our driveway that says Animal Shelter, and that everyone else can see it but me. Cause we have people all the time giving us a stray this and a stray that. Right now I have my sweet little banty rooster (Percy) in the house. My Cocker, Sage, (a stray that was brought to us over a year ago now) has a taste for chicken every now and them. Today she tried to take Percy out, but Praise God we got to him before she killed him. He does have all the skin pulled completely off one leg, though. He's eating and drinking and standing. I've been doctoring on him all afternoon. I prayed over him first thing and I really feel like he's going to be okay. I'm going to the Co-op tomorrow to see if they can suggest anything. Do you have any suggestions?? As for the chocolate gravy I just make it the same as my usual breakfast gravy only add cocoa and sugar as well. I need to get to bed now so I don't have time to type it out. Someone else asked for it yesterday and my recipe (that's in my mind with no measurements) probably didn't make any sense to her. I'll try and get the right amounts figured out and send it to ya. Keep me posted on all your rescue animals!

And also about the menu question you posted. I have know idea--this is the first time I've ever really tried to put a menu together for the week. Well, in the last several years anyway. But, so far I've stuck to it and have enjoyed knowing what I'm going to cook instead of trying to figure it out 2 hours before supper time. It's funny, my oldest was watching me as I made my menu and now at every meal he asks what we're having for the next meal or for the next meal the next day. This morning I changed my pancake plans, though, and made heart-shaped waffles instead. How could I have forgotten about my cute little heart waffle maker??? I'll let you know how the menu thing works out. If I decide I don't like it I'll just quit doing it, easy as that.
