Waiting for the New Piggies

Tonight we are waiting for a new Blessing from God! Our sow two socks to give birth to a litter of piglets. The world allways feels so bright and new when God send us a new blessing,

even if it is piglets!  We all have reason to be on earth. It could be some thing we need to learn or it could be some thing you need to teach. My family and I have learned SO much from our animals, The love of a mother is strong in all of us humans and animals. My Goat butter ( saved at 3 weeks old) had 2 babies in july 05, one was a stillborn the other was born

alive but unable to nurse. Butter and I tried so hard to save little peppies life( the baby's name)

I held her up put her on the teat, tried a bottle an eye dropper but it was not enough little peppie went home to be in Gods garden. Butter looked and me and was begging me to help her baby , running to me and then to peppie crying the whole time. It broke my heart. I have learnd of a mothers love is just that love. While we have lost some of our animals( to us they are our children) we need to remember they have a mother that also feels the lose too. With two socks due I am reminded that we may lose a piglet or two but so does she. God is in charge he can and does call so of us home early( to us), but it is in his perfect timing. That

is one lesson I  have learned rasing all of our Blessing . It is a hard lesson for the children to learn but, it is one God has chose for us to learn in the job of saving his animal kingdom.

I will post pictures of the Blessings as soon as they are born.

Nice to meet you here on the homestead blogger! I just love your philosophy about teaching your children to care for all the animals God sends your way. We don't have any farm animals yet, but will soon. I have a lot of research to do on how to care for them. I will check back here, and hopefully learn more!
