PRAYER AND ADVICE NEEDED

 We have a meeting with our home school leaders sunday afternoon.

We learned that we might be put in a different group other than the high school group. Let me explane: A leader is in charge of so many families at a time, like 1 high school, 1 jr high, etc. They are the person you go to for help, prayer and advice, etc...

We have the person who is the head of the childrens ministery in charge of the home school.

Then we have the head leaders( hubby and wife) who do the high school childern.

Then we have 5? other leaders that do k to 8th grade.Each learder

has so many grades.

Any way we found out that we might be put with another leader who does not do high school( we have 2 girls in high school).

Because the woman that we had trouble with over the pig, only feels like she can  open up with the high school leader, but her son is in the 7th grade.  If we have to go to another leaderwe will be the odd ball out.

I thought ok I have been home schooling for over 10 years , maybe I could be helpful to the other families, but then what if I need help?

It would be hard to get high school advice from an elementry school leader , or a jr high leader.

This whole thing over a pig ( we needed to know if she was going to keep the pig because she did not have babies what would the pig be? for food , a pet or breed her again and see if it takes. We had to tell the landlord and county code people what she would be for so the would know what to count her as. Animals for food do not count as a breeding animal, but if she was going to be breed again she would count as a breeding animal. She never gave an answer, but went thought the home schooling to get help.) So because of the problems with that I can not teach class at the school this year, and know my family might be put with a different grade leader. I (we) just do not know why they cater to her and her family? If you have read my blog this is the same woman that asked me to pray that her hubby would die and set him on fire. I feel like I am lost as here , any advice???? Help .God Bless m.j.

My advice to you is that this woman has some serios mental problems, I would suggest that you stay away from her!

We don't have a 'group' for our kids (10th grade 9th grade and 7th grade) so I don't understand the dilema......it sounds like a bunch of chaos!!
I will pray for clairity for you!

As soon as I read about "the" pig - I could see what was up. Truth be told - if her child is going to be part of the HS group - you might be best to keep yours out of it. You already know she's going to be an all consuming force there, there really wouldn't be much room for you and yours any way.
A Jr. high teacher 'should' be of some help. I will say this though, if this is a group you pay for your girls to be part of - I might reconsider spending in a different school area any way ... JMHO. I'm not sure if it's an issue of your state laws or anything...
We're starting with high school here as well - and we live in NY - gosh, I'm more intimidated now than when *I* was going into High School, Haha!
I'll be keeping you in my prayers. I'd be looking for other groups for the girls though. That one just dosn't seem to be too secure in their objectives for the students.

I'm just about to start home schooling my children in the next few weeks... I have a found a home school group to attend but it is only now and then. They organize different activities etc, etc.. I dont think it is like how you described your group in the US. If you home school in the US do you have to belong to a group. Anyway this lady seems like trouble & if your group accomodates her then it seems like she is running the show. Is there another group you can attend? Hope all works out for you and your family.

We belong to a home school association that we do fieldtrips with and meet at the park with once in a while. I have a friend who has been home schooling for 15 years who agreed to be my mentor. I call her with questions, we discuss and share curriculum, and she encourages me to seek God’s will with my children. If you have strife with a person, that cannot be a mentor or encourager for you. It needs to be a positive relationship. You are in my prayers, that you will find a mentor who encourages you to personally seek God’s will for your family.
