Missing 2 yr old girl

Missing 2 year old girl.  My daughters and I found her and her family is madder than a wet hen at us!   Today we were on our way to our ranch/farm with a load of feed and were on our street and we saw a little 2 year old girl standing on the street .   At 1st we thought it was Jessie's granddaughter and he was working on the yard at the street, but it wasn't.   We drove closer and saw she was crying.  I get out and she is hoping from foot to foot.  I pick her up and look at her feet.  The poor thing had about 10 stickers in the bottom of her feet.  after I get them out I asked her , her name, no answer, where does she live, no answer, where is you mommy , daddy again no answer.  So then I try in Spanish again no answer.   I send Kristi to Jessie's door to see if he knew her.  Jessie and his mom came out they did not know her.   They thought she might live at a house 2 doors away.  So we send Kristi to ask they do not speak English, so Jessie's mom went with Kristi to see, they had no clue who she was.  By now neighbors are coming to see what is going on, no one knows who she is or where she lives.   We call 911 for the police to help.   More neighbors come out and Kristi and the neighbors go to different house and no one knew the poor thing or where she lived.   We had been there with her for  45 + minutes and a different neighbor came out a kid no less and said she lived with him.   He took her and she was crying and kicking with him, he took her in the house and slammed the door.   Thank God the police show up after 25 minutes , for a 911 call about a 2 yr old baby in the street, .  We tell the police what was going on and where the kid took the baby.  To find out it was the right house.  What is sad is that Jessie and another neighbor live on each side of the little girls house and both did know who she was and where she lived because they never see her.   What else is sad is the grandpa of the little girl is sooo maddd at us all because we called the police!   Hello, we all tried to find out where she lived and who she is, no one knew so we called.  That little girl was with us for over 45 minutes and they did not even know she was missing, !!    They are mad at us , not even a thank you.  Some people ......   I do not know what to say.  It is just sad they did not even know she was missing, she is just a baby!

What an ordeal you were involved in today dear!!! Thank goodness you were there and were able to keep her from more harm!!!! Who knows when they might have realized she was gone if you hadn't been outside with her and all the neighbors gathering alerted the other child!!!

For the grandfather to be so mad is nonsense though. He is probably scared now that they will charge him with something or open a child abuse case on him and keep an eye on him. But he truth is, THEY SHOULD!!! Bless her heart, so tiny and she obviously didn't want to go home either!!!!

I will send prayers for this family!!! I am sorry they are blaming you, but you and I both know you didn't do anything wrong!

So sad - you did the right thing. I think we all need to pray for that little girl and her family.

Doing the right thing doesnt always give us the "credit" but at least knowing you were there to make sure she was ok and to seek help is enough. Bless your heart and those that stopped to help find her home, I am sure the police are wondering why she was out and about for 45 min and no parental supervision.
